What causes BPH?

It’s not exactly clear. But you’re not alone, BPH impacts 80% of men by age 80.

For just about all men, BPH is a natural upshot of getting older. That’s because your prostate doubles in size in your teens, then continues to grow for the rest of your life.3

Eventually, an enlarged prostate can squeeze down on the small tube that transports urine from the bladder out of your penis and restrict the flow of urine.

This can lead to problems

While the symptoms of BPH may be mild to moderate at first, it can have a significant impact on your quality of life. Left untreated, BPH may lead to bladder, urinary tract or kidney problems.4
